About Us

CFC Enterprises, LLC is a family owned and operated company that has been providing quality lawn care, landscape design, installation, and property management services to the Baltimore area's most discriminating clients for the past 15 years. Back in 1991, Fred Schattall along with his eldest son Chris, started a small grass cutting operation, soliciting customers door to door. Word started to spread quickly and "The Cutting Crew", as they were known then, started to build a serious clientele of commercial and residential properties. It was around this time that Fred's younger son Carl joined the company.

As the company continued to grow it became evident that the company was capable of much more than just cutting grass. With Carl managing the lawn maintenance division, Chris started a new landscape design and installation division, tapping into the needs of their growing client list. To better reflect the new direction of the company the name was changed to "CFC Enterprises". This new division grew rapidly, again just from word of mouth. In addition to landscaping CFC began to install all types of hardscape patios, walkways and retaining walls.

In 2005, after exhibiting at the Maryland Home and Garden show, Chris' "Romantic Garden" design won First Place and Best in Show in the large garden category. As the Feature Garden in the 2006 show, CFC put on the Luau in the Garden, complete with tiki bar and hand carved tiki poles spouting water into a flowing stream. The display was a highlight of the Home and Garden Show and a testament to the range and quality of CFC's abilities.

Over the years our client list has grown to over 200 contract customers, including developers, custom homebuilders, commercial and residential property owners, and community associations.
